After I got out of college I ended up in a different state than my family. I tried to make it back to visit them at least a few times a year. On one such visit I was in my parents living talking to my grandfather. After talking about a few things he got quiet for a few minutes and then told me. "I miss your grandmother" She had died two years earlier. "I'm not living any more. I'm just going through the paces". They started dating in their teens and got married when they were 21.
